The BT Smart Hub automatically selects the best wi-fi for each connected device.
The 5GHz band gives a fast connection over short distances, and that’s what your hub will use if the device is close by.
Why is it better to have more connectors?
As well as using wi-fi you can use cables to connect devices to your hub. The more connectors your hub has, the more options you have in setting up your home network.

Pieces of advanced tech, like computers and home hubs, can slow down after a while. So the BT Smart Hub helps you out by scanning for problems like these.
If it finds something wrong, it will wait for a quiet moment and reboot itself.
