BT Call Protect helps you stop those unwanted and nuisance calls. It's easy to set up and manage online and via the home phone

BT Call Protect allows you to divert nuisance calls to a junk voicemail in three different ways:

BT Blacklist

We continually monitor for the worst nuisance call offenders and once we’ve identified them, we will automatically divert them for you. And we’ll turn it on by default when you get BT Call Protect.

Personal Blacklist

You can add the last call you answered or any other phone number via MyBT or your home phone, so that any future calls from those numbers also go to your junk voicemail

Individual Call Types

Individual call types – You can choose to send all calls from certain categories to your junk voicemail. The three call types are:

  • International numbers
  • Withheld numbers
  • Unrecognised numbers

The legal stuff

A call set up fee of 22p will apply to all calls made using Friends & Family International and all non-inclusive calls made using International Freedom. The normal call set up fee applicable to your chosen calling plan will apply to any other international calls that you make. Inclusive calls are limited to 600 minutes per month in the International Freedom add-on. Excess calls will be charged at 6p a minute. Calls to mobiles prices also include calls to other Special and Higher rate services.

Great news! Customers in Northern Ireland can also make local and national calls on their calling plan to landlines throughout Ireland (not to numbers beginning 818, 700, 83, 85, 86, 87 and 89)

*Call charges: we calculate our calls excluding VAT. So when we round the price and add the VAT, some calls will round up by a penny. Calls from landlines to mobiles will always do this.
